Collection: Dutch Korps Speciale Troepen CAMO

The Dutch Korps Speciale Troepen (KST) CAMO is inspired by the camouflage patterns worn by the elite Korps Speciale Troepen, a special operations force of the Royal Netherlands East Indies Army (KNIL) active from 1945 to 1950. This unit, trained in counterinsurgency and jungle warfare, operated primarily in Indonesia during the Indonesian National Revolution, where effective camouflage was crucial for concealment in dense tropical environments. The KST camouflage pattern was heavily influenced by British Denison smocks and early French Lizard patterns, featuring brushstroke-like green and brown shapes over a tan base, ideal for jungle combat and reconnaissance missions. While the Korps Speciale Troepen was disbanded in 1950, its legacy influenced modern Dutch special forces, including Korps Commandotroepen (KCT). The Dutch Korps Speciale Troepen CAMO available through CAMO HQ is inspired by this historical jungle warfare pattern, preserving its classic and battle-tested aesthetic while adapting it for commercial and non-military applications.
