Collection: German Splittermuster 41 Luftwaffen CAMO

Splittermuster 41 Luftwaffen Camo was a WWII-era camouflage pattern developed for the Luftwaffe (German Air Force) ground troops, introduced in 1941 as a refinement of the earlier Splittertarn 31. This pattern featured angular, splinter-like shapes in shades of green, brown, and tan, overlaid with a rain-like dithering effect, designed to provide effective concealment in woodland and temperate environments. It was primarily used on Luftwaffe field division smocks, Zeltbahn (tent ponchos), and helmet covers, offering camouflage for ground personnel defending airfields and supporting frontline operations. Though discontinued after WWII, Splittermuster influenced post-war camouflage designs, including Bundeswehr and NVA patterns. The version of Splittermuster 41 Luftwaffen Camo featured on CAMO HQ is inspired by this historic German military design, maintaining its distinctive geometric aesthetic while adapting it for collectors, reenactors, and commercial applications.
