Daguet Desert Camo is the official desert camouflage pattern of the French Armed Forces, developed for operations in arid and semi-arid environments. It was first introduced in the early 1990s and saw extensive use during Operation Daguet, France’s military contribution to the Gulf War (1990-1991). The pattern features a three-color scheme of light sand, brown, and darker brown shapes, designed to provide effective concealment in desert landscapes, rocky terrain, and open plains. Daguet Camo remained the standard desert camouflage for French troops deployed in the Middle East and Africa until it was gradually replaced by more modern multi-terrain patterns. The version of Daguet Desert Camo featured on CAMO HQ is inspired by this historic French military design, preserving its recognizable aesthetic while adapting it for collectors, enthusiasts, and commercial applications.
