Collection: American Frog Skin Beach CAMO

Frog Skin Beach Camo, also known as Duck Hunter Beach Camo, was one of the earliest U.S. military camouflage patterns, developed during World War II (1942) for use by Marine Raiders, the U.S. Army, and specialized amphibious forces. The original dual-sided reversible camouflage had a green-dominant jungle pattern on one side and a tan-brown beach variant on the reverse, designed for coastal, sandy, and rocky environments where troops conducted amphibious landings and desert warfare. It was widely used in the Pacific Theater, including campaigns in the Mariana Islands and Iwo Jima, and saw limited use in North Africa and Sicily. Though it was replaced post-war by ERDL and M81 Woodland camo, its mottled spot pattern influenced later camouflage designs used by South Vietnam, France, and other nations involved in jungle warfare. The version of Frog Skin Beach Camo featured on CAMO HQ is inspired by this historic U.S. military pattern, preserving its unique legacy while refining it for collectors, outdoor enthusiasts, and commercial applications.
