Designed specifically for operations in hot, dry, and semi-arid regions, Tropentarn replaces the traditional five-color woodland Flecktarn with a three-color scheme consisting of light tan, reddish-brown, and dark olive-green, optimized for blending into deserts, rocky landscapes, and dry grasslands. First widely used by German troops deployed in Afghanistan and other overseas missions, Tropentarn provided effective concealment in NATO operations across the Middle East and Africa.
