Collection: American Frog Skin Parachute CAMO

Frog Skin Parachute Camo is a variation of the Frog Skin (Duck Hunter) camouflage pattern, originally developed for U.S. airborne and special operations forces during World War II (1942–1945). This pattern was specifically designed for paratroopers and pathfinder units, who required effective concealment when landing in forests, grasslands, and mixed-terrain environments. Like the standard Frog Skin Camo, the parachute version featured mottled green and brown shapes on one side for jungle warfare and a tan-dominant variant on the reverse for arid or coastal operations. It was used in Pacific Theater operations, North Africa, and limited airborne deployments in Europe, though it was eventually replaced by ERDL and M81 Woodland patterns post-war. The Frog Skin Parachute Camo also influenced French and South Vietnamese airborne units in later conflicts. The version of Frog Skin Parachute Camo featured on CAMO HQ is inspired by this historic U.S. military design, preserving its distinct wartime aesthetic while refining it for collectors, reenactors, and commercial applications.
