Products & Sizing FAQ

Find answers to common questions about CAMO HQ product sizing, fit, fabrics, durability, camouflage color, pattern placement, product images, and normal manufacturing variations. CAMO HQ offers products from several trusted production partners, so sizing and construction may vary between individual product styles.

How do I choose the correct size?

Always review the size chart shown on the individual product page before ordering.

Sizing may vary between T-shirts, jerseys, hoodies, jackets, leggings, shorts, swimwear, hats, and specialty products. Do not assume that the same size will fit identically across every CAMO HQ product.

For the best results, compare the measurements in the product size chart with a similar garment you already own.

Do CAMO HQ products use U.S. sizing?

Many CAMO HQ products use U.S.-style sizing, but sizing may vary by manufacturer, product type, fabric, and construction.

Always use the size chart displayed on the specific product page rather than relying only on your usual size.

How should I use the product size chart?

Review whether the size chart lists body measurements or finished garment measurements.

If the chart lists garment measurements, compare them with a similar item you already own by laying it flat and measuring the same points shown in the chart.

Allow room for your preferred fit, movement, layering, and normal manufacturing tolerances.

What if I am between sizes?

If your measurements fall between two sizes, consider the product’s fit, fabric, and intended use.

You may prefer the larger size for a relaxed fit, layering, or greater freedom of movement. A smaller size may provide a closer fit on products designed with stretch fabric.

Because fit preferences vary, CAMO HQ cannot guarantee that a particular size will fit every customer the same way.

Will every product fit the same?

No. Fit may vary between manufacturers and product styles.

For example, an athletic jersey may fit differently from a standard T-shirt, hoodie, compression shirt, jacket, or pair of shorts. Cut-and-sew products may also have a different fit from traditionally printed garments.

Review the individual product description and size chart before ordering each item.

Are product measurements exact?

Product measurements are approximate and may vary slightly because of normal manufacturing and sewing tolerances.

Small measurement differences are common in apparel production and are not automatically considered defects.

What if I order the wrong size?

Because most CAMO HQ products are made to order, we generally cannot accept returns or exchanges when the wrong size was selected.

Please review the product-specific size chart carefully before placing your order.

If this is your first CAMO HQ order and you purchased one apparel item, contact us within 7 days of delivery. While assistance is not guaranteed, we will review eligible first-order sizing concerns and do our best to help when possible.

Do you offer a first-time fit credit?

CAMO HQ may provide limited first-order sizing assistance on eligible apparel purchases.

This courtesy is intended for a first-time customer who purchased one apparel item and experienced a genuine sizing problem. It does not apply to customers who intentionally ordered multiple sizes, ignored the provided size chart, or placed repeat orders.

Any assistance is reviewed individually and is not guaranteed.

Is CAMO HQ tactical gear?

No. CAMO HQ products are primarily designed as camouflage-inspired lifestyle, athletic, outdoor, leisure, and casual apparel.

Many products may be suitable for training, fitness, hiking, airsoft, paintball, outdoor recreation, sports, and everyday wear, but they are not military-issued tactical equipment, protective equipment, body armor, or certified combat uniforms.

Are CAMO HQ products military-issued?

No. CAMO HQ products are commercially manufactured and should not be assumed to be government-issued, military-certified, or official uniform equipment unless specifically stated.

Some products are inspired by historical camouflage traditions, military eras, environmental concepts, or original designs.

Are your products durable?

Many CAMO HQ products use performance, athletic, or casual fabrics designed for movement, outdoor recreation, training, and everyday use.

Durability varies by product type, fabric, construction, intended use, and care. Please review the individual product description and care instructions before ordering.

CAMO HQ products should not be assumed to provide the abrasion resistance, fire resistance, protective performance, or reinforcement of military-grade field uniforms unless specifically stated.

What fabrics are used in CAMO HQ products?

Fabric composition varies by product.

Depending on the item, materials may include cotton, polyester, recycled polyester, spandex, nylon, fleece, mesh, woven fabrics, or blended performance materials.

Review the product description for the listed fabric composition and construction details.

Are your products suitable for athletic use?

Many CAMO HQ jerseys, shorts, leggings, performance shirts, and athletic products are designed for movement and active use.

Suitability depends on the specific fabric, fit, and construction. Review the product description to determine whether an item is intended for sports, training, outdoor activity, or casual wear.

Are your products suitable for airsoft or paintball?

Many CAMO HQ products may be worn for airsoft, paintball, training, or recreational outdoor activities.

However, they are not protective equipment and do not replace approved eye protection, face protection, padding, body armor, or other safety equipment required for those activities.

Will colors match exactly between products or separate orders?

No. Exact color matching cannot be guaranteed between different products, fabrics, fulfillment locations, or production runs.

Minor shade differences may occur because of:

  • Different fabric types
  • Dye lots
  • Printing methods
  • Ink absorption
  • Separate production runs
  • Different production equipment
  • Different fulfillment locations
  • Normal aging, washing, or wear

Most products using the same pattern will appear reasonably consistent, but CAMO HQ cannot guarantee that two separately produced articles will be perfectly identical.

Normal color variation is not considered a defect.

Why can the same camouflage pattern look different on different fabrics?

Different materials absorb and reflect ink differently.

A design printed on cotton may appear different from the same design printed on polyester, fleece, stretch fabric, mesh, nylon, or another textile.

Fabric texture, weave, brightness, finish, and thickness may also affect the final appearance.

Will my item look exactly like the product image?

We make every effort to display CAMO HQ products accurately, but actual items may vary slightly from online images and digital mockups.

Differences may result from:

  • Screen or monitor settings
  • Device brightness
  • Lighting conditions
  • Fabric texture
  • Printing method
  • Product size
  • Pattern placement
  • Production location

Product images are visual representations and may not show every possible manufacturing variation.

What is a product mockup?

A product mockup is a digital representation used to show how a camouflage pattern is expected to appear on a product.

The finished item may vary slightly because of fabric texture, product size, cut-and-sew construction, printing methods, and pattern placement.

Will the camouflage pattern appear in the exact same position as the product image?

Not always.

Many all-over print products are individually printed, cut, and sewn. As a result, the location of specific camouflage shapes, colors, or design elements may vary from one item to another.

Normal placement differences make each product slightly unique and are not considered defects.

Will the pattern line up perfectly across seams, sleeves, pockets, or zippers?

Perfect pattern alignment cannot be guaranteed.

The front, back, sleeves, pockets, hoods, collars, and other panels may be printed and assembled separately.

Minor alignment differences at seams, pockets, zippers, and panel connections are a normal part of all-over print and cut-and-sew production.

Can the scale of the camouflage pattern vary by product?

Yes. A camouflage pattern may be scaled, cropped, rotated, or positioned differently depending on the dimensions and construction of each product.

The same design may appear larger or smaller on a shirt, jacket, pair of shorts, bag, blanket, hat, phone case, or accessory.

Normal scaling differences are not considered defects.

Why are parts of the pattern cropped on my product?

Camouflage designs must be adapted to fit different product shapes, sizes, panels, and printable areas.

Some parts of the pattern may be cropped or repositioned during production. This is normal and does not mean the item was printed incorrectly.

Why are there small white or lighter areas near seams or folds?

During all-over print production, folded fabric, seams, stitching areas, or fabric edges may receive less ink coverage.

Small white or lighter areas may occasionally appear near:

  • Underarms
  • Collars
  • Seams
  • Pockets
  • Zippers
  • Stitching
  • Folded fabric areas

Minor occurrences are normal for this type of production. Significant printing issues should be reported within 7 days of delivery with clear photographs.

Why does the fabric appear lighter when stretched?

Some printed stretch fabrics may appear lighter when stretched because the interior fibers become more visible.

This is especially common with:

  • Leggings
  • Compression garments
  • Swimwear
  • Performance shorts
  • Athletic tops
  • Other fitted stretch products

This is a normal characteristic of printed stretch fabric and is not considered a defect.

Why does the inside of my garment look lighter?

Some products are printed primarily on the exterior surface of the fabric. The interior may remain white, lighter, or less saturated.

This is normal for many print-on-demand and all-over print products unless the product description states otherwise.

Will printed colors fade over time?

Yes. All printed and dyed fabrics may gradually fade because of washing, sunlight, abrasion, sweat, chlorine, salt water, heat, detergent, and normal wear.

Following the product care instructions will help preserve the print and fabric.

Normal fading caused by use, age, or improper care is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Do product specifications ever change?

Yes. Production partners may occasionally update fabrics, garment construction, sizing, labels, available colors, or manufacturing details.

CAMO HQ works to keep product pages accurate, but minor specification changes may occur without advance notice.

Why did a product, size, or color disappear from the website?

Products, sizes, and colors may become unavailable because of supplier inventory, production limitations, manufacturing changes, or product discontinuation.

Some unavailable items may return later, while others may be permanently discontinued.

Can I be notified when a product is available again?

When a restock-notification option is available on the product page, you may enter your email address to receive an update.

Because many CAMO HQ products are made to order, an unavailable item may be discontinued rather than temporarily out of stock.

Are CAMO HQ products official reproductions?

Not unless specifically stated.

Some CAMO HQ products are inspired by historical camouflage traditions, environmental styles, military eras, or original design concepts.

They should not be assumed to be exact replicas of original uniforms, officially licensed reproductions, or government-issued equipment.

How should I report a product problem?

Contact CAMO HQ within 7 days of delivery.

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • Your full name
  • The email address used at checkout
