Collection: South African Railway Police CAMO

The SADF Railway Police CAMO is inspired by the camouflage pattern used by the South African Railway Police (SARP) during the later years of the apartheid era. The Railway Police, originally a civilian force, was militarized under the South African Police (SAP) due to increasing security concerns related to insurgent activities, sabotage, and civil unrest along railway lines. Their camouflage pattern, distinct from the SADF Nutria Brown, featured a disruptive mix of earth-toned colors, designed for concealment in both urban and rural environments where railway security operations took place. While not widely issued outside of South Africa, similar patterns have been used by security forces protecting critical infrastructure in other countries. The SADF Railway Police CAMO available through CAMO HQ draws inspiration from this historic and specialized pattern, adapting it for commercial and non-military applications while preserving its unique law enforcement heritage.
