Collection: Italian Telo Mimetico Desert CAMO

Telo Mimetico Desert Camo is a specialized adaptation of the Telo Mimetico camouflage, originally developed by Italy in the 1920s and officially introduced by the Regio Esercito (Royal Italian Army) in 1929. The desert variant modifies the classic irregular disruptive shapes by incorporating lighter tan, beige, and brown hues, optimizing it for arid and semi-arid environments. While the original Telo Mimetico was widely used by Italian forces during World War II, this desert variation was later explored for use in Italy’s overseas campaigns in North Africa. Elements of this design influenced post-war Italian military and police units, as well as camouflage developments in other Mediterranean and Middle Eastern nations. The version of Telo Mimetico Desert Camo featured on CAMO HQ is inspired by this historical military adaptation, preserving its unique design while adapting it for collectors, tactical enthusiasts, and commercial applications.
