Collection: Bulgarian 1979 Splinter Airborne CAMO

The Bulgarian 1979 Splinter Airborne CAMO is a specialized camouflage pattern developed for Bulgaria’s Airborne and Paratrooper units during the late Cold War era. Introduced in 1979, this design was heavily influenced by the classic German splinter camouflage, but it was adapted specifically for Bulgaria’s airborne forces, offering enhanced concealment in a variety of terrains, including forests and open fields. The pattern features angular, jagged shapes in shades of green, brown, and tan, creating a disruptive effect suited for high-mobility operations. While primarily used by Bulgarian paratroopers, similar splinter-based patterns have been employed by other Eastern European nations with historical ties to German camouflage influences. The Bulgarian 1979 Splinter Airborne CAMO has inspired the version available through CAMO HQ, keeping the essence of its historical roots while refining it for modern tactical and civilian applications.
