Production Time

Most CAMO HQ products are made to order and normally require approximately 3–7 business days for production before shipping. Production time does not include shipping transit time and may occasionally increase during holidays, high-order-volume periods, temporary production backlogs, staffing limitations, equipment maintenance, quality-control reviews, or delays affecting a specific product or fulfillment location.

Care Instructions

Always follow the care label attached to your product. For most CAMO HQ apparel, machine wash cold with similar colors using mild detergent; avoid bleach and fabric softener, and tumble dry on low or hang dry. Wash inside out when possible and do not iron directly over printed areas. Proper care helps preserve the fabric, color, print quality, and garment shape.

Returns & Product Issues

We will always review and resolve qualifying issues involving damaged products, manufacturing defects, printing errors, or incorrect items when reported within 7 days of delivery and accompanied by clear photographs. Most products remain final sale because they are made to order. However, CAMO HQ offers limited first-order sizing assistance and may approve returns of eligible unworn items at its discretion, subject to return shipping and a restocking fee.

Pattern History: ERDL

The Engineer Research and Development Laboratory (ERDL) camouflage pattern was developed by the U.S. Army during the late 1940s and 1950s, with final refinements completed by the Engineer Research and Development Laboratory at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Officially introduced in 1948 for testing and later adopted on a limited scale during the Vietnam War, ERDL featured a four-color woodland design of light green, dark green, brown, and black that provided exceptional concealment in dense jungle terrain. Lightweight ERDL uniforms first saw widespread combat use in the late 1960s with U.S. Army Special Forces, Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol (LRRP) teams, Navy SEALs, Marine Reconnaissance units, and other elite forces operating in Southeast Asia.

ERDL proved so effective that it became the foundation for the U.S. military's next standard camouflage pattern, M81 Woodland, introduced in 1981. By enlarging the ERDL pattern while retaining its proven four-color palette, M81 carried ERDL's legacy into decades of military service. Today, original ERDL uniforms are highly prized by collectors and historians as one of the most influential camouflage patterns ever developed, marking the transition from traditional camouflage designs to the modern era of military concealment.
