Collection: South African Kangwane Giraffe CAMO

The SADF Kangwane Giraffe CAMO is inspired by a rare and unique camouflage pattern associated with the Kangwane homeland during the era of the South African Defence Force (SADF). This pattern, sometimes referred to as Giraffe Camo, was designed for use in the bushveld and savanna environments of South Africa, particularly within the Kangwane region. Featuring irregular, earth-toned shapes that mimic the natural patterns found in the African wilderness, it provided effective concealment in dry grasslands and wooded areas. While not widely issued across the SADF, this camouflage was reportedly used by local security forces and paramilitary units operating within the homeland system during the apartheid era. The SADF Kangwane Giraffe CAMO available through CAMO HQ draws inspiration from this historical design, preserving its distinct and regionally adapted aesthetic while tailoring it for commercial and non-military applications.
