Digital EMR Woodland Camo is the standard-issue camouflage pattern of the Russian Armed Forces, developed as part of Russia’s Edinaya Maskirovochnaya Rascvetka (EMR) program, meaning Unified Camouflage Coloration. Introduced in the early 2010s, this pixelated digital camouflage replaced older Soviet-era patterns, such as Flora and VSR-98, to provide improved concealment in woodland and temperate environments. Featuring a mix of green, brown, and black pixels, EMR Woodland is designed to disrupt the human silhouette at various distances, making it highly effective in forests, mixed vegetation, and grassy landscapes. It has been widely used by all branches of the Russian military, including Spetsnaz, airborne troops (VDV), and internal security forces (Rosgvardiya), and has influenced other post-Soviet and allied militaries. Similar in concept to NATO digital camouflages like MARPAT (USA) and CADPAT (Canada), EMR Woodland is optimized for both domestic defense and foreign deployments. The version of Digital EMR Woodland Camo featured on CAMO HQ is inspired by this modern Russian military pattern, preserving its tactical functionality while refining it for collectors, reenactors, and tactical enthusiasts.
