Norwegian M98 Camo is a woodland camouflage pattern developed for the Norwegian Armed Forces (Forsvaret) in 1998, designed to provide effective concealment in forested and temperate environments. This pattern features large, irregular patches of light green, dark green, and tan, optimized for Norway’s dense forests, mountainous regions, and varied terrain. The M98 camouflage was introduced as an evolution of previous Norwegian camouflage designs, ensuring better adaptability for infantry, special forces, and peacekeeping troops deployed in NATO operations. While primarily used by Norwegian military personnel, similar macropattern camouflage designs have been utilized by other Scandinavian nations, including Sweden and Finland, for their own defense forces.
