Night Desert Honeycomb CAMO

Night Desert Honeycomb Camo is a specialized camouflage pattern originally developed by the United States military for night operations in arid and desert environments. Introduced during the 1980s, this pattern was designed as part of the six-color "Chocolate Chip" desert camouflage system, with a unique grid-like honeycomb overlay in dark blue or black over a grayish base, optimizing concealment in low-light conditions. Primarily worn by U.S. special operations and reconnaissance units during the Gulf War (1990-1991), Night Desert Camo was specifically tailored for stealth and nighttime desert warfare but was later phased out as digital camouflage technology improved. While no longer in active military use, similar darkened desert camouflage patterns have influenced modern special operations and law enforcement night gear in countries such as the United States and other NATO allies. The version of Night Desert Honeycomb Camo featured on CAMO HQ is inspired by this historical military design, preserving its distinct aesthetic while adapting it for collectors, tactical enthusiasts, and commercial applications.
