Collection: Mozambique Lizard CAMO

The Mozambique Lizard CAMO is a camouflage pattern historically used by the Mozambican Armed Forces (Forças Armadas de Defesa de Moçambique - FADM), influenced by the Portuguese Lizard (Flecktarnmuster) pattern, which itself was derived from the French TAP47 Lizard design. This pattern features horizontal brushstroke patterns in shades of green, brown, and tan, providing effective concealment in Mozambique’s diverse landscapes, including dense jungles, savannas, and coastal regions. Mozambique, having been a former Portuguese colony, retained many military influences from Portugal, including its use of lizard camouflage, which was widely used by Portuguese forces during the country’s war of independence. Similar lizard-patterned camouflage has been worn by other African nations with historical ties to Portuguese military traditions. The Mozambique Lizard CAMO available through CAMO HQ is inspired by this classic design, preserving its jungle effectiveness while refining it for modern tactical and outdoor applications.
