Collection: German Zelt-tarnmuster Summer CAMO

Zelt-Tarnmuster Summer Camo is a WWII-era German camouflage pattern, originally developed for the Wehrmacht and introduced in the late 1930s for use on Zeltbahn (tent ponchos), smocks, and helmet covers. Designed for woodland and temperate environments, this pattern featured irregular green and brown splinter-like shapes over a tan base, offering effective concealment in forests, grasslands, and mixed terrain during the spring and summer months. The Zeltbahn poncho, which could be worn as a camouflage cloak or assembled into tents, made this pattern highly versatile. German forces used Zelt-Tarnmuster extensively in the European theater, particularly on the Eastern Front and in France. After the war, similar camouflage concepts influenced post-war West German Bundeswehr and East German NVA (National People’s Army) uniforms. The version of Zelt-Tarnmuster Summer Camo featured on CAMO HQ is inspired by this historic military pattern, preserving its distinctive look while adapting it for collectors, reenactors, and commercial applications.
