Truppenversuch Sagezahnmuster Camo is an experimental camouflage pattern developed for the Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces) during the 1970s and 1980s as part of efforts to modernize Germany’s military camouflage. The name Sägezahnmuster translates to "sawtooth pattern", referring to its distinctive jagged, angular shapes designed to break up the wearer’s outline in woodland and temperate environments. This pattern was tested alongside other prototypes, including Punkttarnmuster (dot pattern), but was ultimately not adopted, with the Bundeswehr selecting Flecktarn in the 1990s as its standard camouflage. Though never widely issued, Sägezahnmuster was a precursor to modern disruptive camouflage designs, influencing later German and NATO patterns. The version of Truppenversuch Sägezahnmuster Camo featured on CAMO HQ is inspired by this rare experimental design, preserving its unique aesthetic while adapting it for collectors, historians, and commercial applications.
