Sumpfmuster Marsh CAMO

Sumpfmuster Marsh Camo is a WWII-era camouflage pattern developed for the Wehrmacht, designed for marshlands, forests, and temperate environments. Introduced in the early 1940s, this pattern was an evolution of earlier Sumpfmuster (Swamp Pattern) designs, featuring irregular patches of green and brown over a tan base, with a blurred effect to mimic natural foliage. It was issued primarily on Zeltbahn (tent ponchos), smocks, and field uniforms, used by Heer (Army) infantry, Luftwaffe ground troops, and some Waffen-SS units. The effectiveness of Sumpfmuster led to its continued influence on post-war camouflage patterns in East Germany (NVA) and other European countries during the Cold War. The version of Sumpfmuster Marsh Camo featured on CAMO HQ is inspired by this historical German military design, preserving its unique aesthetic while adapting it for collectors, reenactors, and commercial applications.
