Collection: German Strichtarn Brown CAMO

Strichtarn Brown Camo is a variation of the Strichtarn ("Rain Pattern") camouflage, originally developed for the National People’s Army (NVA) of East Germany (DDR) in the 1960s and 1970s. Strichtarn was designed to provide effective concealment in forests and grasslands, using thin vertical "rain" streaks over a base color to disrupt the wearer's outline in various terrains. The brown-toned variant was specifically adapted for arid and autumn environments, incorporating warmer earth tones for better blending in dry grasslands, rocky terrain, and transitional seasons. This pattern remained in use until German reunification in 1990, after which the Bundeswehr transitioned to Flecktarn. The version of Strichtarn Brown Camo featured on CAMO HQ is inspired by this historical East German design, preserving its unique aesthetic while adapting it for collectors, outdoor enthusiasts, and commercial applications.
