Production Time

Most CAMO HQ products are made to order and normally require approximately 3–7 business days for production before shipping. Production time does not include shipping transit time and may occasionally increase during holidays, high-order-volume periods, temporary production backlogs, staffing limitations, equipment maintenance, quality-control reviews, or delays affecting a specific product or fulfillment location.

Sizing & Fit

CAMO HQ products are made by several trusted production partners, so sizing and fit may vary by style. Always review the product-specific size chart before ordering, and compare the listed measurements with those of a similar garment you already own. If you are between sizes or prefer a more relaxed fit, consider sizing up. Small measurement differences are normal in apparel production. Because most items are made to order, returns or exchanges for incorrect size selection are generally not available, although first-time customers who purchased one apparel item may contact us within 7 days of delivery for possible sizing assistance.

Care Instructions

Always follow the care label attached to your product. For most CAMO HQ apparel, machine wash cold with similar colors using mild detergent; avoid bleach and fabric softener, and tumble dry on low or hang dry. Wash inside out when possible and do not iron directly over printed areas. Proper care helps preserve the fabric, color, print quality, and garment shape.

Returns & Product Issues

Most products remain final sale because they are made to order. However, CAMO HQ offers limited first-order sizing assistance and may approve returns of eligible unworn items at its discretion, subject to return shipping and a restocking fee. We will also review and resolve qualifying issues involving damaged products, manufacturing defects, printing errors, or incorrect items when reported within 7 days of delivery and accompanied by clear photographs.

Pattern History: Splittermuster

Splittermuster, meaning "Splinter Pattern" in German, was developed by the German Army in 1931 and became one of the world's first purpose-designed military camouflage patterns. Officially introduced as Buntfarbenaufdruck 31 (Colorful Pattern 31), it featured sharp-edged geometric shapes in green, brown, and tan over a light background with distinctive vertical "rain" streaks that enhanced concealment in forests, fields, and broken terrain. Throughout World War II, Splittermuster was widely used on shelter halves (Zeltbahns), smocks, helmet covers, parachutist uniforms, and specialized combat clothing by Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe units, particularly elite Fallschirmjäger formations.

Splittermuster represented a major breakthrough in camouflage design and laid the foundation for many military patterns that followed. Its angular geometry and disruptive color scheme influenced post-war camouflage developed by numerous nations, including several Eastern European armies and later German designs. Today, Splittermuster is regarded as one of the most historically significant camouflage patterns ever created, admired by military historians, collectors, and camouflage enthusiasts as the pattern that helped shape the evolution of modern military concealment.
