Collection: German Flachentarn Blumentarn CAMO

Flächentarn Blumentarn Camo is a rare and distinctive camouflage pattern developed in East Germany (DDR) during the 1970s for the Nationale Volksarmee (NVA). This pattern, sometimes referred to as "Blumentarn" (Flower Camouflage) due to its abstract, floral-like shapes, was an evolution of earlier Strichtarn (Rain Pattern) and Soviet-influenced camouflage designs. It featured large, irregular green and brown blotches over a tan background, optimized for concealment in woodland and temperate environments. Although it was tested for potential use, Flächentarn Blumentarn was never widely adopted, as East Germany ultimately retained Strichtarn as its primary camouflage pattern. The version of Flächentarn Blumentarn Camo featured on CAMO HQ is inspired by this rare East German design, preserving its historical aesthetic while adapting it for collectors, historians, and commercial applications.
