World war 2 was in many ways the defining moment for camouflage. From the innovative Germans, to the British Para field smocks, and the United States Marine Corps Frog Skin. Military camouflage became a must have part of the uniform in World War 2. Most modern camouflage is based on many of these earlier patterns.
